La rose de Jéricho, aussi appelée "plante de résurrection", se conserve facilement dans toute sa beauté, et pendant très longtemps. Cette plante a la capacité de s'ouvrir avec un peu d'eau, il suffit de poser ses racines dans une soucoupe remplie d'au moins un demi-centimètre d'eau. Une fois la plante assoiffée, et lorsqu'arrive la saison sèche, la plante commence à s'éclaircir et les branches se recroquevillent pour former une masse sphérique compacte.

Ce processus de pliage et d'étirement des branches de la rose de Jéricho est totalement réversible et peut se produire de nombreuses fois, tant dans l'habitat naturel de la plante que chez soi.

La rose de Jéricho montre une formidable capacité à absorber les odeurs désagréables de son environnement.

La taille des roses de Jericho reste aléatoire.
